Keep Your ATV Looking New

Protecting your ATV from rock dings and scratches will keep it looking new.  It will also keep your ATV's resale value as high as possible for when you are ready to trade it in for an upgrade.

Axles - A quick tip to keep your Axles looking brand new if you know you’re going to be bashing your quad’s axle over rocks and rough terrain.  Take a roll of electrical tape and generously wrap the axle from the swingarm out to the hubs. Standard electrical tape will work fine, however the heavy-duty thick stuff is even better.  When you are finished bashing your ATV through the nasty terrain, you can cut the tape off and still have that showroom shine for your next trip out to the dunes, where you don’t have to worry about getting any dings.

A-arms - An easy way to keep your A-arms looking new is with clear plastic tubing that you can buy at the hardware store. To know what you need to buy, measure the outer diameter of the front tube on your lower and upper A-arms.  You will need clear tubing that has an inner diameter equal to the outer diameter on your ATV's A-arms.  It should take about three feet of tubing for the lowers and three feet for the uppers. Cut the tubing to length for each arm.  You will then need to slice it lengthwise with a razor blade.  Lay the pieces out in the sun so they will be
pliable.  Then install the pieces of plastic tubing over the A-arms, securing them with zip ties or safety wire. The clear tubing will only cost you a few bucks and you will be able to still see your decals through it.  The plastic tubing can be replaced when it gets beaten up.
