In 2005, Bombardier shifted it's focus to satisfy ATV and Powersports enthusiasts when it launched it's new Bombardier ATVs. In 2006, Bombardier ATV products were re-branded as Can-Am for it's 2007 ATV product launch. The Can-Am brand recaptures the spirit of BRP's unequalled performance, superb handling and advanced designs while providing the perfect platform to reach out to and attract powersports enthusiasts.
Through the 2007 Can-Am ATV line up, the same spirit that was behind the original creation and triumph of the Can-Am Motorcycles in the mid 1970s comes alive again. The Can-Am name is a part of BRP's history, heritage and now their future.
The Can-Am Spyder Roadster is BRP's first on-road vehicle. With two wheels in the front and one in the back, this three wheel vehicle offers balance and peace of mind with it's Vehicle Stability System.
The Vehicle Stability System includes traction control, anti-lock brakes, and a stability control system. It has the feel of part motorcycle and part sports car.
The Outlander is once again ATV of The Year. It was originally intended for the Utility Vehicle Market and now is at the cutting edge of technology. It features a design that combines a sporty look and comfort with exceptional driving quality in one lightweight package.
The Outlander 4x4 has a one piece steel frame, called the Surrounding Spar Technology Frame, which provides a narrower bottom profile with a slide and glide action which allows the vehicle to virtually ski across rocks and other obstacles.
The Outlander was also the first to be fitted with the innovative TTI rear suspension. The TTI provides superior comfort on many different types of terrain due to the repositioning of the two independent pivot points.
